Comments: We meet many years ago when your brother became part of the FASD Peer group. I think of you and your brother often, wondering what is going on. I believe I received a call from your brother over the holiday asking for help with something. It sparked me to look you up. My son (22, FAS) also has found music to be a refuge for him and he taught himself how to play guitar in a matter of weeks. He is a very talented song writter. Next step, will be get him over his anxiety to preform for someone. Congrats on the music for the new movies.

Comments: Hey John, It's a tad ragged but I still have my Birmingham sweat shirt left over from our long ago visit. I moved from Minneapolis to Washington's Olympic Peninsula nine years ago. I stopped writing for Diabetes Forecast shortly after they passed on the story I wrote about you. Never did tell me why. I'm still free lancing, mostly for Seattle area publications. Sorry we lost touch but I'm glad to see you're doing well, not that I ever doubted you would. Let me know if you ever get out this way. Be a pleasure to see you again.

Entry 508

Name: Gil Clark
Location: Ann Arbor, MI
Comments: Hi John, I met you at Hazelden. I completed my MA there and then headed south to a Mayo facility. I am now back in Michigan. You told me to give you an mp3 or something. My website is www.gilclarksongs.com It is no where near as awesome as yours. I have taken to playing more recovery focused concerts and a few new recovery songs have crept into the set. I have an upcoming gig at an Alano club and I am searching for more recovery environments to perform in. I hope to hear back from you and keep up the good work. Thanks, Gil

Comments: John is one of the most caring and affable persons I have come across in my professional field. He has a knack for making you smile and feeling genuinely cared for. I will say he did make me dance in front of a bunch of people, which was slightly embarrassing, but I'm trying my best not to hold it against him. Peace, Love and Respect, B
