July 18, 2006 - This week's Live in Studio C offers music by a great early 17th Century Italian master composer, and an active pianist/singer/songwriter of today. A group of instrumentalists and singers from MTSU perform a set of works by Claudio Monteverdi, one of the most important composers in the creation of early Baroque music, as well as what was then a new art form: opera. Then, pianist and singer/songwriter John McAndrew plays some of his own music for us. John blends many influences into his own musical storytelling.
